Holistic Manual Therapy
Treating the many structures and systems of the human body to liberate optimal health.

Treating the many structures and systems of the human body to liberate optimal health.
FORM AND FUNCTION: There is a well known axiom that "form follows function and function follows form." With human bodies, "form" refers to structure and "function" refers to physiology. The structural relationships in our body either liberate or limit the physiological health and function of the systems of the body...nervous, biomechanical, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, lymphatic, reproductive, endocrine, and electromagnetic.
TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: Your medical history and reasons for seeking treatment guide me in using osteopathic based techniques, which prioritizes the relationship of structure to physiology. I use manual palpation to assess the vitality, mobility, and qualities of your body's structures.
TECHNIQUES USED: Once I have an assessment of the body's structures that need manipulation, I may use gentle joint mobilization, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, neural release, or lymphatic drainage. The pace of my work is steady and methodical, so that I am able to stay in attuned dialogue with your body, responding and adjusting treatment as needed.. Verbal communication is also part of the session, to confirm that we are working in a safe and consensual space.
OUTCOMES: The goal of my manual therapy is to remove structural obstacles to healthy movement and physiologic function, reduce pain, and promote structural alignment. When our internal structures work together harmoniously, we enhance our vitality and resilience to stress, giving us the generative energy and health to live the life we desire.

I practice under the licensure of Massage Therapy with the state of Colorado. This licensure sufficiently covers the manual techniques I use from the manual osteopathic training in Canada. The AMA and AOA in the USA do not offer reciprocity in licensure with Canada's Manual Osteopathic training.
